"Ukrtelecom" has implemented the decision of RAD Data Communications.

Ukrainian state telecommunications company, Ukrtelecom implemented the company's decision RAD Data Communications, allowing the use of existing networks in the country PDH / SDH to provide cross-service Ethernet.

By using existing infrastructure PDH / SDH and simple solutions that work at level 2, Ukrtelecom plans to increase flexibility and reduce operating costs. Since the need to purchase expensive equipment for SDH networks, next generation is absent, is also expected to reduce capital costs. In addition, the use of single-block solutions for communication centers must ensure reduction of both operating and capital costs. Carrier-class solution from RAD's provides full protection for all channels, including the subsidiary that is its distinguishing feature compared with other proposals on the market.

At a client company Ukrtelecom established endpoint RAD RICi-8E1, which belong to the operator and under its control is transferred to Fast Ethernet LAN services and Internet access (backhaul IP DSLAM) to eight channels of E1 bound to one of the highways SDH, passing from 24 areas of the country and united in a central network of MPLS. E1 channels are combined into a single channel STM-1 terminal multiplexer using RAD Optimux-1551 with high bandwidth and are transmitted to a gateway Ethernet RAD Egate-100 with a channel separation, which connects traffic Gigabit Ethernet network in MPLS. The set of devices used RAD provides full access to the central site Ukrtelecom to the customer premises.
